We’ve added two new friends to the LR team! Let me introduce you to Boris and Steffi, our new Teutonic washing machine and dryer pairing. They are top of the range Bosch machines designed to produce very high quality results. They are also very energy and water efficient (A+++ for the washing machines), while producing excellent results at lower temperatures.

They are part of a range of improvements we are carrying out to provide an even higher standard of care for our wonderful customers’ clothes. You may have also noticed that we are using a new detergent with better cleaning power, and have improved the way your clothes are packaged and returned to you. Our new parcel paper is thicker and better quality and ensures that your washed, dried and folded laundry comes back in a neat, nicely wrapped package finished off with our branded tape.

Make your own shirt folder!

At LaundryRepublic, our customers can set preferences for how they would like their dry cleaning and laundry to be done. For example, some customers prefer their shirts to be returned folded because they travel for business. They come packed like brand new shirts, ready to wear after a long journey.

Here’s a little industry secret: you can produce your own perfectly-folded shirts every time by making your own shirt folder using nothing more than some cardboard and tape.

Despite tough economic conditions LaundryRepublic has continued to grow strongly throughout the last year thanks to our amazing customers. And with your support, we want to keep that momentum going throughout 2013.

The LR Building Bounty scheme is our way of thanking our customers for their help in spreading London’s laundry revolution. £10,000 raised for Scope with our clothes recycling scheme

Thanks to your generosity, we have collected 1,700 tonnes of donated clothing for our charity partner Scope in 2012, raising nearly £10,000 from sales in their charity shops. Tom Hall, Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships at Scope, said: “LaundryRepublic’s innovative clothes donation scheme has been a tremendous success, making a real impact on the lives of disabled people across the UK”.

Scope supports disabled people and their families, providing residential care, supported independent living schemes, short breaks, and employment and training.
